Hey everybody. My surgery went well and I'm resting semi-comfortably at home. They kept me overnight and I'll probably be spending more time on the recliner than in front of the computer for the next few days. I may jump on occasionally, but probably not a whole lot.
Thanks for all of your prayers.

Chris I am very glad to hear that all went well. I am in a similar boat, although thankfully not as major of a surgery as you had. Sitting at home and being unable to work in the shop is torture, but it short lived and you'll be back up and at it soon enough, had hopefully without the pain that you had. Take care, and take it easy.
Dave:)

Chris -- Glad to hear that your surgery has gone well and that you're back home on the mend. Hopefully you've got a good recliner to stay comfortable and that your surgeon has given you some magic pills to get you through the painful parts. My wife has endured two lamenectomys and I know what you're going through. We look forward to your swift and painless recovery. Time to read and develop your plans for making more sawdust.

Best wishes - Rob

Glad that your on the way to recovery, Chris.:eusa_danc

Now. Kick back with a good book, switch on the Dr. Phil show or Andy of Mayberry and you should be all set for the morning at least! (Soaps are on the the afternoon. Take it from a new retiree, you don't want to get into them thar' things!)

Take care of yourself and follow the doctors orders!

Thanks for all of the well wishes!
Saturday our two new leather reclining sofas arrived so I'm all set on that front. And also let me add my quote of the day "Tramadol is GOOD!"

Glad to hear it went well. Get your paper and pencil, start sketching. Get the mags out, decide what new tools you want or projects you want to build, or you could do I what I normally do, vegetate.
