Update on the Toddler bed (PAINTED NOW)

I got a little more shop time and have gotten the first sanding done and a dry fit of the hardware. I think it looks cool! Best part is LOML likes it.

You might of missed the first thread on this. The bed will be painted white to match the other pieces in the bedroom.

Tom, that's looking great. Some of that Ambrosia Maple is almost too cool to paint.

After looking at the additional pics I think that style bed will look beautiful once painted white and will fit nicely into a girl's bedroom.

It's coming along nicely, Tom. The hardware looks rock solid, all the joints look tight. I know you were concerned about getting the proportions right and from what I can see you did well - the proportions look great. It's a beautiful bed. :icon_thum

What my perfect little angel would never think of jumping up and down on the bed :rolf: !!

Yes, this hardware is made for full size beds. The only thing for me is the length of the screws. I am screwing into 3/4" wood, so I could only use #10 x 3/4" screws. It feels rock solid.

So do you like the hardware? Do you think it will hold up to jumping on the bed and all that your little girl is going to put on it?

Well here it is painted! I still need to do one more coat of green, and I need to make the bracket to mount the safty rails.

I cheated a little there. I have a friend who has a cabinet business. He sprayed it for me with white pre-catalyzed lacquer. I had taped off the middle section and painted it myself, with a brush and latex enamel. I am very pleased with how it came out.
