uneven bandsaw table

Hi,

There seems to be a slight drop between the two surfaces on my bandsaw table, at the blade insert gap. Wood does get stuck on it when cutting, more so near the edges than the center. Has anyone fixed this type of problem? Or should I just buy a new table for it? Its' a grizzly 17" anv.

Thanks!
Yogi

Sorry, every one I have seen has been a bolt or machine screw. I wasn’t aware that some are just a tapered hole without threads. So, you should look carefully to determine if you do in fact have screw threads and then gently try different bolts to see what fits unless there are no threads in which case you will probably need a tapered pin.

Lost table taper pins have always been a problem. Powermatic's solution was to put a sash chain on them. I modified this idea for Delta saws by cross drilling, installing a roll pin, and putting it on #18 mason's twine.

@bob vaughan Adding the roll pin is genius! Hunting down a wrench to remove the pin is so annoying, but the roll pin should give a pretty good grip. Very nice!

I'm lucky to have found the pin, it could have easily been lost when we moved. wish manufacturers would keep it attached by chain or something by default.
