Hey everyone, could use some help.
I am arranging a turning class for the kids at the Falcon Children’s House Woodshop in Falcon, NC. This will be once a week for 4 weeks. It will be Thursday nights from 6:00-8:00ish, July 21 & 28, August 4 & 11.
We could really use the help of 2-3 adults to help monitor the kids. The class is being setup for 6 kids right now. We could also use some bigger turning stock for doing weed pots, cactus planters, trivets, bowls, spice cellars and things like that if anyone has wood or tree limbs that could be used.
The Woodshop could really use more volunteers to support it as well. The Falcon House is basically a halfway house for kids whose parents can’t take care of them. Positive roll models are huge for this place and woodworking teaching a lot outside of just wood skills.
