Turners in Hickory Area

I was wondering if there are any turners close to Hickory area? I wold like to get together on the weekends and turn and learn from each other some...Please let me know if you close to Hickory or newton area.

They meet Saturday's, I think, but double check.

They meet at the Klingspor Woodworking Shop on Sweet Water Rd, you can tell when they are there as the parking lot is full and there are burls, stumps, and crotch sections of logs on the back of most trucks.

I am not a turner, but i think i may have a old craftsman lathe in storage at my dads. So i might be a turner when i grow up.:gar-La; or not. Right now I'm in a hand tool stage/phase.
