Tulipwood

Anyone had any experience turning tulipwood. I tried a piece yesterday. It seems very brittle.

I've turned a few pens out of it. I found it to turn well, with a nice smell.
I am assuming you are talking about the Dalbergia variety, and not Poplar which is also referred to as Tulipwood.
