hi... with the projects i do, i pretty much exclusively use quarter sawn wood, and most of the lumber yards i get the wood only carry flat sawn wood in the species i am looking for, so i end up spending a good amount of time digging through boards looking at the end grain to find the few pieces of flat sawn that were cut close to the middle of the log they were cut from, making the grain pattern effectively quarter sawn, but i have a hard time sometimes when looking at the end grain, seeing the grain pattern through the saw marks and sometimes i can't even distinguish between the saw marks and the grain pattern... does anyone know an easier way to do this? thanks... jonny

Jonny,

I second Jeff as a choice, most of his woods are QS and all of them are beautiful.

Jimmy:)
