Hi everyone, I am the president of the Regular Cutups Scroll saw club in Escondido California and I’m trying to generate continued interest in Scroll Sawing and general woodworking in the San Diego area. I want to expand on ideas in woodworking and add on projects that can be donated to various charities. We currently support many charities, including Women Warriors, Radys Children’s Hospital, Operation Christmas child just a name a few. I’m wondering if anyone or any clubs would be interested in having a Zoom meeting between our clubs or individuals to share ideas. We meet the second Saturday of every month at about 9:30 in the morning Pacific standard time. Please let me know if anybody or any clubs are interested.

Thank you in advance

Michael

Michael I am not in any club besides belonging here at NCWW. Back during COVID NCWW members made angels for doctors, nurses and others in the medical field. Personally I made over 100 compound angels. You should be able to search for that on this website. I have also been involved with making wooden toys for “Toys for Tots”.I have also heard of groups making vases to hold silk flowers that were donated to nursing homes. Good luck.

We also have a scroll saw club that meets once a month. We bring things we have made. There is also a monthly challenge, this month is bowl. We meet in a local woodworking shop, like Rockler. We ask if it’s ok, the shop says yes, we agree on day and time.

Thanks for your input everyone. Yes we make the test tube walnut vases and they come out fantastic. We support a lot of charities like Rady’s, Ronald McDonald’s house and others so we supply toys for all of them. We make wooden hand mirrors for women during Mother’s Day and “my dad, my hero “ cutouts for dad’s during Father’s Day and everyone seem to like those as well. We’re really interested in sharing what we do with others in the hopes that we can gather new ideas from others as well. Thanks again for your input. Please keep it up.

Our club has a monthly challenge. July was flowers. August is “useful”.
It’s fun to see what everyone makes! IMG_3565.jpegIMG_3564.jpegIMG_3561.jpegIMG_3564.jpegIMG_3561.jpegIMG_3568.jpeg
