Tool Gloat..

It's been a while since I had a good gloat, so here it goes...
A big Thanks to NCPete that found this gem in a pawn shop for me. It was still new in the box. I've been looking for a deal on one of these for a while now...

ROTF!!! Phil...Clay was afraid to 'gloat' on this tool because he was afraid someone would say that. Clay was telling me that the Pawn shop said people buy things all the time at stores with their credit card and then pawn it...just their way of getting cash from their (hopefully) card.

How do they steal it- simple. Go through the self service check out with a STOLEN credit card. Nobody checks them . One of the pawn shop operators told me this sometime ago. Once, I was in pawn shop and there were several nice power tools, all with one guy's telephone number and name on them. Gave him a call to see if they were stolen. He replied that Judge Bullock told him that if he had $1500 of back child support to the courthouse by five PM, he didn't need to bring his toothbrush. Instant tool sale! Still have three of those routers.

yup, usually the shops around here are pretty proud of their merchandise, and want retail prices for used stuff..... I feel like Clay probably got this one for something below the retailers cost, and it was less than what the shop had it tagged for, too!
