With new ownership in place, The Woodworking Show returns to Charlotte:eusa_clap on March 7,8, & 9. Woodline and Bad Dog Tools are currently in ownership of the show. They are committed to bringing show back to where it used to be. No more pointy heads just looking at the bottom line. Two dollar off coupons can be printed from The Woodworking Show's web site. Lets go to the show!

I heard that it was coming back. If I'm not traveling, I'll be there. I've been able to get some good deals at that show in the past. The demos can be pretty good, too. It's not a bad drive from Hillsborough.

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! We'll definitely try to be there. It's a much larger show than the Hickory show. It would be cool if we could get together on Saturday.

It's hard to believe that nearly two years have past since a group of us got together there, but lets do it again! I'll be there, for sure -- Saturday lunch?

I'll be taking a personal day in February for our 10th anniversary, so I will not get to see y'all on Saturday. If I get to go, it will be Sunday.

It has been years since I last attended the woodworking show but I used to buy all my wood from a fella from Mayoden NC who was at the show each year. I would call ahead of the show and place my order and he would bring the wood with him. It saved me all the shipping cost and the wood was very good qualilty and well priced. I don't know if he is still coming but if anyone is interested, I can try to find out the information.

Gordon,

You're talking about Steve Wall and indeed, he is one of the premier wood suppliers in the Carolinas and has been for many years (See his listing in our "NC Wood Suppliers" Listing under the "Where Are?" tab on the Menu Bar). I also bought wood when he used to attend the Charlotte show several years ago, but I'm not sure if he'll attend this year -- his business is doing very well. The other possibility is that he'll attend to sell Oliver iron -- he is a major distributor for the East Coast. He was at the Greensboro Woodworking Expo this last year.

It's about 4 1/2 for me. I have a relative in Williamsburg, Va. I visit him for the weekend and we go to the one in Va in March. I've been to the one in Charlotte once and it was quite a bit smaller than the one in Va. Not sure if it was representative of the norm or not. Would enjoy meeting the Charlotte gang though. Hmmm maybe both??

Maybe I can talk loml into taking a side trip on the way back home to Charlotte on Sunday for a quick visit to the WW show....hummmm
