First of all, thanks for everyone's help along the way, especially Mark Gordon for the help with the 68 mortise and tenon joints. It is poplar, stained with Minwax walnut and Minwax Poly. My finishing definately needs some tweaking, but it turned out pretty well. I am very happy with it. My son is 5 months old now, but in my defense I only was asked to build it at T minus 8 weeks. The good news is that we willing be using the crib AGAIN at the end of October (I need to figure out what keeps causing that!) Thanks for looking!

Now that's a lot of M+T joints! They drive me crazy trying to get the fit correct. Good thing you built it that sturdy. Seems like you are having your own little baby boom. CONGRATS!!!

Nice work, Brian. :icon_thum The crib for our first two was found in a pile along the roadside. I brought it home, stripped it, and painted it red, white, and blue. It did the job, but it sure wasn't as nice as the one you've made. Congrats on the growing family. :icon_cheers

Nice work there, Brian!:icon_thum:icon_thum:icon_thum

To my way of thinking, you really did a great job giving plain old poplar a really nice color.

I am sure that it will see many more years of use even after the youngun' moves up to a big boy bed!:wsmile:

Thanks for sharing and enjoy your new arrival, because as we all know they grow up way too fast!
