The byrd head arrived for my jointer today. I already have the old head out and just have to take it into work to press the bearings off during lunch. :icon_thum Unless I can get some nice Timken replacement bearing cheap.

It is a very beautiful head. I'll take pics tomorrow as I install it for you guys to see the process of how the head comes in and out of a jointer. Most of them are made very similar. I know the thought of taking out your jointer head may be daunting to some folks. :eusa_doh:

Thanks,

John

"lectrical" that ought to be interesting. Does that involve burying a drop cord from your neighbors house while their at work?

Looks like you installed it crooked. :p

Congrats on the new upgrade. Bet it will make a difference in the cut quality.

:rolf: that was pretty good. "Oliver Twist"

I love the Yorkcraft 20". It is the best buy out there in large planers. I'll like it even more once I get a byrd in it as well. :)
