Steve,

Congrats on that stealthy new Festool saw...although no picture:?: ! You're #4 in the group that I know about. I'll be visiting their factory in 2 weeks.

Mark
Now not so stealthy.

Looks great Steve; I did exactly the same on the assy table last night. Brads and a flush trim. I used 2 x 4 x 2 sheets as well and ended with two seams. I am not particularly happy with the seams though. They are tight to each other but for some reason don't lie perfectly flat in places. I had to brad nail very close to the edge to get them down. Next time I might buy a 8 x 4 sheet and have it all in one piece, but it certainly looks nice now.

Had the same problem, tight seams but not quite as flush as it should be.:eusa_thin

Well Steve, if Babel Fish is working correctly and since that saw is German then I guess this calls for a............ SIE SAUGEN!

Thanks ray, that works for me. I guess the old Babel Fish translator just didn't know how informal we are around here.

I am glad you were able to use the brads. I never gave a thought to removing my top when I made it so I hust used liquid nails, weighted down and clamped it. Solid as a rock with a miter saw lowered in the middle of the table.

Hardboard nail. These have a diamond-shaped head which is virtually hidden when hammered into hardboard. Sizes from 9-38mm (3/8-1.5 in).

This was the nail Steve just for info.

I looked it up, but couldn't find a supplier except in the UK. Beside they would require hand nailing. If you think sharpblade's Thumb looked bad, I wouldn't have a hand. Remember, I'm the guy who can't power drive a screw straight without a jig.:rolf:

Du saugst....

Proper conjugation of saugen, in the present tense:

Ich - sauge
Du - saugst
Er/sie - saugt
Wir - saugen
Sie - saugen
Ihr - saugt (? - Bernhard, can you correct me on this? I forget the conjugation of saugen, with Ihr????) :slap:

edit:

Ihr - sauget ?
