[BBF]

Hey Guys. Loved all the new pic's of projects. Anyone want to go into partnership (LOL). We have started our album, BBF. I am inerested in what you think about Judy's woodburning. We sometimes put one on a piece of furniture. One time I woodburnt a complete Hearth on a 6'x40" Door for a dining room closet. Came out great. Thanks for taking a look see.

That is spectacular work. Everything in your album is really top notch woodworking, and your display model is a real cutie. How long does it take to woodburn a piece like that, and does she use a pattern or just free-hand it?

awsome work,,you know we need to get a gallerie in NC started where we can display all of our work and sell it there, do commision pieces and such. There is a place in Seattle that does that with local craftsman and they say they are 2 to 3 years behing in orders. Something to chew on. Be blessed friend

I too am curious about how long it takes to complete something so intrigate as this. Also, what kind of a wood burning tool is typically used?

This type of craft must be very unforgiving though. Make a mistake and then what? Repairs must be very difficult!


I am quite sure that with all of your talents, a money making business certainly would be worth pursuing.

Quite impressive. I have the same questions as everyone else. Personally, I have trouble whittling on a stick.

Judy uses a 1700 watt pen burner and she uses a pattern for the outside edges. sort of like a ruff outline. Then she puts in all the detail out of her head with different types of burns. This pic takes her about 16 to 20 hours. We have one pic of 3 macaws in a tree. that one takes about 40 hours of burning time. We sold that one but would like to do it again on a oak coffee table. The pic is 23 1/2" x 15 1/2". Opps, she said why did you put that on there before I framed it. (LOL)
By the way, I didn't write my own comment to my question so I don't understand why BBF has a replie to my thread unless someone else has the same name as me. Any ideas?

Any Ideas on a 5' closed Dining Table with 2 18" leafs expandable to 8'. solid Northern oak base with a solid Cocobolo Top with 6 Oak chairs. 2 with arms 4 without with Cocobolo inlays. What it might price out for retail???:-?

That was the same text that you used to comment on my cedar box. BTW, thanks for the kind words. Why the same text ended up as a comment in your thread, I don't know. But rest asured that you are the one and only BBF.
