That's pretty amazing! Have to hand out to the scientists, I can come up with some weird ideas but thats out there ad a game changer like the introduction of carbon fiber, spaceflight, and beer.

Machining metal is done with carbide and HSS. What's on your blade?

I like the comment about body armor. It's not quite as strong as kevlar, but hey, it only cost 5% as much. Hmm! Let me think about this a minute. :icon_scra

Hey Bill, maybe you could host a class on making bullet proof vests from 2x4's! Actually, the flack jackets we wore in Vietnam almost seemed to be made from 2x4's because they were so thick, but that was in 1965 and 1966, and most of our gear was from WWll and Korea.:gar-La;
