You don’t need to bring anything. Would you like a demonstration? Tips? What can I bring to help you learn?

Well, I suppose a few things that would be helpful:
1) What is a good first project?
2) What types of blades are better for one application or another?
3) What are limitations of a scroll saw?
4) What type of wood would you not cut on a scroll saw?

Just a few questions off the top of my head. I want to make a celtic cross out of wood, and a scroll saw seems like the best way to do it. But I have no clue!

I will have a demonstration saw set up. I will bring some small pieces for you to try.
The blades I use the most are a #3 flat blade. Rule #1, don’t use spiral blades until you learn flat blades. Go to Scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com. Steve Goods patterns are all free and all different levels of difficulty.

I did not get pictures taken yesterday. By the time our student arrived, we were all trying to show him as much as possible in the time we had! We still had a great time!
