We had a small group of people this month. 5 people including me.
I explained how to cut coins..
A punch is used to make a dimple for your drill bit to follow.
Be sure to drill a 1/8“ hole for the jump ring.
3 in 1 oil is used to keep from burning out your drill bit.
JEWELER Blades are used to do the cutting (I used #3).
I superglue the coins to scrap 1/8” plywood to cut them. Then a soak in a jar of acetone will release the superglue.
The backs of the quarter can be very cool. The newer ones have Famous American Women.
One of the hardest things was making that adjustable barrel knot.
If there is something that you would be interested in learning, let me know and maybe I can figure it out for a meeting! D84E73D1-43E4-430C-9A83-DCFC6BE65CE8.jpeg4A7503ED-38B4-40D6-ABAD-F8494423342F.jpeg4BF87B54-D3DC-4669-8048-56A3C4EA77BB.jpeg

If you don’t own or want to use a scroll saw many coin cutters us a fret saw. Knew Concept fret saws are the preferred band. The 5” model takes the same blades Berta used in her demo.
