Our sites are doing well - yes we have two, ncwoodworker.net and the new ncwoodworker.com

The forum site, ncwoodworker.net, was successfully moved to a new platform. With the new platform we are no longer dependent on unsupported custom patches. We owe a big thanks to Ron (flyingron) for all his efforts to get this done.
We also have a new front door site, ncwoodworker.com. This site was developed to be a "Welcome to NCWW" highlighting who we are and what we do. Just press home on the forum site to shift sites. There is much to see there and we are adding content often.

Financial support of both sites is from advertising, Amazon Smile, direct donations and most importantly the annual raffle sales.
This year's raffle will be our largest ever. Letters requesting prize donations have gone out our many suppliers and response are positive. We should have well over $12,000 in prizes and the multiple grand prizes add up to well over $3,500.
Raffle ticket sales will begin the first week of March

The Annual NCWW Picnic will be May 16th at the Seaforth Recreation area at Lake Jordon. This is a family friendly picnic and is free to all of our members - please join us. A signup sheet will be posted in late March.

We had a successful shop crawls in the Triad and Raleigh area. There were shops in western triangle are that we could not fit in, so we will be have another Triangle shop crawl this year. Watch for the announcement. Shop crawls (tours) are always popular events. It would be great to see more - We will help with the planning.

We have decided to begin a monthly project focus, not competitive, just an easy method for members to show others. Media could be photos of in process or competed projects, videos or how to articles. The best or most informative will be highlighted on both sites.

This years list will be:
March - Turning
April - Furniture
May - Musical instruments
June - Tool Restoration
July - Boats
August - Scroll saw work
September - Carving
October - Shops
November - Tech
December - Holiday Gifts

Finally a big thanks for all that help to make this the friendliest woodworking group on the internet.

All questions, comments and suggestions are welcome
