Stanley #12 scraper

Got my Stanley #12 today. It is in great shape but I will likely buy a new Hock blade for it. Insom, any tips on setting the angle to get those fine shavings? I tried to upload some pics but the system won't take them. Will try again later.

congrats on the #12!

I just put a hand scraper on there. If you can get a good bur on the short sides, you're set. Or I've heard you can even cut up an old hand saw blade to make a scraper.

If you get a Hock, let me know how it goes. As far as I know, these blades are set to 45* bevel, and the bevel faces backward (in other words you still scrape with the flat face of the blade).
