Greetings, I am a part time woodworker, full time Military member in Goldsboro hoping to settle somewhere close by in North Carolina after I retire from the Air Force. I do numerous smaller wood projects, some in quantity and some one of a kind projects. I am limited in space to work but make up for it in imaginative projects. I do everything from smal craft fair knick-knacks and furniture to elaborate intarsia signs and artwork. Looking forward to meeting some fellow woodworkers sometime in the future.

Welcome to the forum, Arvo! We are a fun-loving band of woodworkers from across the state, including several in service to our country (and even a few from just over the line in nearby SC, TN or VA). It sounds like you're already producing some projects of note in your limited time -- we urge you to request a photo gallery by clicking on "Other Links" on the main menu bar -- around here, as one member put it, "No pics, it didn't happen!". We love to share our talents and answers to questions -- and look forward to more posts from you. If you can get away from your work in mid-February, a number of us will attend the Woodworking Show in Charlotte Feb 17-19th and would love to see you there (we're meeting by the main concession stand at 1:30 PM on Saturday).

Arvo, welcome to the site, I am glad you elected to join us. I am one of the active duty guys Rob mentioned. I am down here at Bragg and closing in fast on my retirement as well. I am sure you will enjoy the time you spend on this site and will find it both informative and entertaining. Be sure to get a photo album set up as Rob mentioned so you can post a few pix of your work. I would love to see some of the intarsia sign and artwork you have made as well as your other projects also.

Welcome to the site. Like the others have said, I'm sure you'll find us to be a friendly group. Intarsia? That's one of the things that I really want to learn to do better. Please post pictures when you can.
