Hi all,
I made a small table to put in the living room. All of the wood is recycled. I read an article on making tapered legs with a jointer in the Dec 06 issue of American Woodworker and decided to try the spade feet for the table. That process went rather smooth:-D. A bit of advice though, if you are going to try this with the jointer make sure the knives are good and sharp as you will be making a very deep cut and that'll help limit the tear out. The legs are attached to the aprons with mortise and tenon joinery. One thing I didn't think about until after I glued up the top is wood movement. I liked how the top looked so I figured let's go with it and see what happens and use it a learning point.
