I think this will be a good choice for turning tuning pins and end pins; better than my full length 1/2" skew, though the skew is still my weapon of choice for initial rounding. Attempts at beads improved from awful to reasonably okay within a couple of minutes. Sharpening it (needed it) is a dream - you just flatten the topside (that is what they specify and it works).
Oh yeah, this is what Rockler sent me free as compensation for repairing the broken strain reliefs on my new lathe instead of having them swap it out. :eusa_danc:eusa_danc:eusa_danc
