I saw this listing today.

I have been using this DC with a Donaldson filter cartridge for a while. It gives good service at a fair price. It is essentially the harbor freight DC with the larger diameter steel impeller from the factory (which is a $120 or so upgrade when it's in stock).

If you are in need of a DC you could do worse. Here is a picture of mine with a Donaldson p101899 filter. I use it on a 30A breaker without issues but I haven't had any issues even on a 20A breaker either. If you restrict the airflow you could probably get by on a 15A breaker most of the time.

FWIIW, I have the HF version with a cartridge filter, Thein baffle, larger impeller and I run the 5” duct…even with all that extra load it runs just fine on a 15a circuit. Good machine for the money.

I too have the HF DC and I enjoy its performance for what it is.
I've upgraded the impeller to the Rikon, cut the metal housing to accommodate a 6" opening (I think stock was a 4" that branched out to accommodate 2 tools. Used a Wynn filter, Oneida cyclone, etc.

Here are some pics.

This isn't the finished project, but it gives you an idea.

I cut a hole slightly larger than 6", so I could drop the intake, for the motor, into the shelf support.
I used a 6" flexible hose to go from the Oneida to the motor. I know, flex hose. :\
On the motor outlet side, I used 5" flex hose to go to the filter.

From the Oneida to the tool, I am using 5" flex.

I'll try to take some pictures of the finished project, this weekend, and post them.

Bought everything new and I think I paid between $750 - $800 plus my time to put together. The wood is all scrap that I found in dumpsters near my house (new house constructions, so wood scraps are plentiful).

Regardless of what DC you buy, make sure it is 2-stage as I believe that is 1,000,000 times better when compared to a (dust blower) single stage & bag.

You don't need to spend an arm and a leg, either, so if you are a 1-person shop (hobbyist even?).. something like this will do. Of course, certain tools might require a better setup (drum sander, for instance), but this should be good for most tools.

Whichever route you go, please make sure to take care of your health. Don't shortcut things, as in the long run, you'll be glad that you went the 2-stage route vs a bag (dust) blower.
