Shock Wave

After building so many going away plaques of one style, you tend to get tired of seeing it, so Ralph & I pulled this rabbit out of the hat
We thought it would look cool to mimick the shock waves you see in the slow motion pics of fired bullets.









While I'm at it, I finally got a pic of one of the Retirement plaques we made with the cool stuff put into it....

The round is a 30mm from the A-10 Warthog, I was lucky enough to have worked on her for 22 of my 26 years in the AF

Very nice piece. Looking at the "shock wave", some real curly wood at just the right angle would have really imitated the shock wave effect. Very nicely done and who ever gets it will be thrilled.
