Sharpening Carbide Tipped Bandsaw Blades

Hello Everyone!

I have a friend that manages a stave mill and he has their carbide-tipped bandsaw blades sharpened. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this on the hobby level.

I have a carbide tipped Laguna blade for resawing and have had it sharpened once over the many years I’ve had the blade. I’m a hobbyist and the cost to sharpen was less than the cost to replace.
