Finally a little information about the new SS Bandsaw that doesn't involve guessing. The YouTube guy from 731 Woodshop did an interview with the CEO of SS at the IWF show. The CEO turned it into a commercial but I guess that's OK.
The big question for me was, how does it stop the blade. Well, it cuts it! I know that I'd rather cut the blade than cut off a finger but would I rather get a little knick on a finger than cut a $150 resaw blade? I'd have to think about that. The saw definitely has some nice features and IMHO at least one dumb one. Take a look at the video and make up your own mind/ You'll have time to consider it, apparently the saw is still about a year out.
