As a beginning woodworker with a very limited tool arsenal (woodguy disease without the means to support it), I don't have a heck of a lot to contribute yet but I did want to thank and commend the input everyone makes on this site. Anyway, indulge me for a minute in a semi-woodworking topic.
If you're like me you probably have a spare change jug laying around the house and are pretty surpised how much is actually in it when you cash it in. I usually take it to a Coinstar machine, those little change counting kiosks at the grocery store, and "pay" my 15% usage fee. Coinstar now has a partnership with certain vendors where you can get the whole 100% of your value if you opt for a gift card as opposed to cash. One of their partners is Amazon. It's not a bad gig if you shop on Amazon already and a pretty painless way to save up for a new addition to the shop. Besides, you get some great looks with statements like "I'm only a milk jug away from that new router".

Thanks again for all the great advice!
