Hi all. I was wondering the best way to collect the dust while sanding. I only have a palm sander and handheld belt sander. Do you use a downdraft box or do you connect the vacuum directly to the dust port on the sander?
Currently I'm using a shop vac with a 5gal. Bucket dust separator for all general dust collection. However I did just get a HF 2hp dust collector and just need to complete the 2 stage set up for it. Downside is that it doesn'thave a canister filter.
I feel like a downdraft table would work better, but wanted to get other's opinions /experience. I plan on putting the HF collector on a dedicated circuit, maybe I should use both options at the same time?
