Sanding Chamfers

I made this little tool for sanding chamfers. I really want to keep them crisp. as you can see, its a 45 degree piece glued down to a flat scrap. I glued a piece of each side so i can use two different sand paper grits.

I am a huge fan of the porter cable self adhesive sand paper (no paper back so super easy). I cut little strips and adhere.

as long as I used compressed air to blow out the paper every once in a while, they last a long time.

example of a super sharp chamfer on a coaster i'm working on.

I use a sharp block plane as the last step after sanding.
sometimes i use only a block plane and do no sanding. I can accept that it may be 44 or 46 degrees. i find that i have trouble keeping it exactly at 45 degrees, especially on small chamfers. if i'm going to sand, i just go to this and omit the plane.
