I decided I needed to abandon the two dressers that I used in my bedroom and make a wall mounted unit to give myself more storage. We have small closets, so this was a no brainer. So I told the wife my plan and she agreed hesitantly. I wanted boxes on top with doors and four drawers on the bottom. We also have baseboard heat to deal with so this whole thing was going to mount above. After building the boxes, I decided to put in a shorter heater,put the drawers on the floor and build more boxes and shelf area. I also wanted rustic wood fronts.
The boxes are made of plywood with the doors and drawer fronts made from reclaimed boards. Ball bearing drawer slides and euro hinges let everything work wonderfully while retaining the aged look. Still need to add pulls and some filler strips, but very close to being completed.
