Choosing Tool Rubber Bands..

How many have a special size rubber band they use all the time, please share the size an number an were you have gotten them. I am doing segmented wood bowls - staved wood bowls an scroll saw ornaments looking for all sizes an width of rubber bands for doing glue up.

Tater, can't tell you the sizes, but I save and use a lot of the rubber bands that come with bunches of fresh produce from the grocery store (celery, broccoli, asparagus, etc.).

I use rubber bands in box making. I started with the Woodcraft package but found I was only using the largest size. More economical to get 36 of the size I used for $6.99. At Amazon

It says #107, which will stretch from 7" to about 17". About the circumference of a 1 gallon paint can with minor stretch, up to the top of a 5 gallon bucket at max stretch.

I recently replaced the windows in my house. Each 32" wide window had two rubber bands holding the cardboard packaging on. I was able to save most of them.

For a small box, I just wrapped it around 4x to hold it while the glue dried. It didn't look pretty but it worked

I am doing staved or segmented , an need gobs of rubber bands for glue up.. Thanks for posting..

Thanks for the offer, But I have a large box of #64's.. I will see if I can use them, reason for my question I see numerous people using these very narrow bands.. an wonder what they were.. plus with extreme arthritis in my hands an fingers wanting to save the stress on the fingers.. I have seen several people make these giant scissor like sticks for expanding the rubber band to fit over what ever they were making... Thanks again
