I had to build a riser for a butsudon and a stand for another one.
Had to try and make them match so the riser is made with ambrosia and the stand is with the little bit of sycamore I had left and oak.
I put 2 drawers in the riser and cheated on how I did that, I made a drawer guide dust cover assy, fitted the draweers to it them mounted it it in a floting dado in the back and glued it in a rabbit in the front.

Thanks for looking

Magnificent looking pieces. The spacing around the doors and drawers is also spot on, beautiful. What's the finish?

Bas.

They look like they were planned with the original job. You do an awesome job on grain matching Earl not to mention your woodworking in general.

Earl, your additions are flawless. You have really become a pro at matching grain and heve a good eye for balance and symmetry. I really like it. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
