Well here it is after going to see Jack(saw4you) with Rob(rsitzejr) and his son Logan. There is also a bunch of other lumber and cants from Jack, including some Pecan, S. Maple and Cedar. We had a great time. It was interesting pulling the log onto the trailer with the winch, but it worked(sorry no pics of that.) We actually watched it being sawn(very cool) the figure in the Walnut is amazing ended up with over 100 bf. after sawing. A great day all around!!!

NCWW members working together. Nice haul. :thumbs_up

Hey to air dry that walnut, stand the boards on end in your garage until spring. Then throw tthem in a attic for the summer. Most of it will be dry enough to use by next fall. It has worked for me.

Was a great time, interesting getting that log on the trailer, some great wood.

Scott, I don't have an attic, it's stickered in the basement right now. Some I'll seal the ends for turning, some I'll let air dry.

Thanks to Jack for sawing this up, great job, was very cool watching.

Yellow gloves, red hat is me. We met at the picnic Jeff, I'm bald under that hat, shaved head. Logan, my son, is the young, well 17, kid standing on the fender. Gary is the big burly guy in the reddish coat. We both forgot to bring a camera, so no pictures of Jack or the actual milling, dragging the log up the trailer, etc. I am glad I mounted an ATV winch to my trailer, made life much easier.

Loading logs on a low trailer like yours is pretty easy, I've done it more times than I care to admit and with some freaking huge logs. Here's an example...

Thanks

Now that is neat, if I have to haul more logs, I might fabricate something like that. Wouldn't be too hard for a handy guy like me.
