I have a Supermax 19/38. It is one of my favorite tools in the shop. New, they are around $2,200, plus shipping and tax. In a recent restructuring of my shop I sold my jointer and planer, but kept the Supermax. It is a very well constructed, heavy-duty sander that can handle wide laminations, as well as individual smaller boards. It can improve the surface of boards that would be full of tear-out on most planers.
