I need a new circular blade for my 10" miter saw, generally I use it for finish materials, since I can keep my old one for the rough cuts.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good one to buy, I'm after a smooth cut.

Thanks ahead for any suggestions.

I have a Home Depot brand on my miter saw and it works really nice. It is a 90 tooth TN plated blade (gold color) and costs about $65 new. I used a 10% Lowes coupon when I bought it (HD accepts competitor coupons).

No experience with Freud or others. I have a Delta on my TS and like it a lot too. Hope that helps a bit.

hello,
i agree with dave about the freud blades i have a 60 tooth i use and it works great.
as a second note, some of the lowes around charlotte have some delta 60 tooth blades on clearance, might work ok but not as good as the freud.

I use Freud pretty much across the board due to value for the buck. BTW, I read somewhere that the Gold Ti Ridgid that was mentioned is made by Freud.
There's lots of good blades out there for this purpose. As has already been said, stay in the 60-80 tooth count with a low to negative 5 deg. hook angle and you should get the quality cut you are looking for.

I use the Forrest Chopmaster on my Dewalt 12 inch CMS. It has been great. I have had good luck with the Freud blades also, but currently running the Forrest WWII in my TS and the Forrest Chopmaster in the CMS. Between the Freud and the Forrest, I'd buy whatever I got the best deal on. I purchased mine when Amazon was having a good sale. The Forrest blades leave a very smooth cut and my Freud's do too.

Another vote for the Freud. I'm sure there are other good ones out there, but I've never been tempted to switch. I believe Lowe's has a sale going on right now, you may want to look at a Delta/ DeWalt blade. Quality is important, but cheap is nice too.

I also like Freud, have tried others but keep coming back to them. For a miter saw I like the RU91R010. It's a 60 tooth coated thin kerf ATB blade. Amazon.com has it for 57.99, free shipping and a 10% dicsount on freud blades which makes it a total of 52.19 if you are interested.

Check Amazon, I bought a Bosch 12" 96 tooth for about half what the Freud sells for (was about $60) and it is a great blade and came with a cordura case.

Thanks,

David
