This past Sunday I attended the hand saw sharpening class with Bill Anderson at the Woodwright's School. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a great learning experience. One of the best parts was getting to meet some fellow woodworkers, some from NC and another from MD. Bill was an excellent teacher and full of useful information. After picking up some used saws at flea markets and antique stores I read a few articles on sharpening, but I think it's much easier having someone guide you through the nuances of the process. Money well spent, but an even better way to spend a Sunday!
