I dont know why but I have been thinking about this...

The article says 700k of these LED T8 bulbs are on recall and they sold for 22 each. So that's 15.4M worth of bulbs. I reckon light bulbs is a huge business. Everyone needs lights and its no wonder there are so many different types of bulbs nowadays. The profit potential is huge...

I'm beginning to wonder, is this like digital TV? I and many of my TV brothers & sisters have had the opinion that digital was pushed to quickly in to main stream television. There are bugs in both editing & transmission that still (Now 2015) exist. They are making us transition from incandescent bulbs to CFL, but no sooner had we adapted to those than we are now expected to transition to LED. All at a very cost.
