not mine, not endorsing, ...
but I do have one exactly like this. For a 12+" planer, this is a beast. It will out last you. Needs 220V.
It is capable of spewing dust and shavings everywhere - designed and made before dust collection was a thing. Dust and chip collection can be 'added.'

if you are going to put a few hundred into a planer this may be a much better choice than a typical lunchbox planer. It does have a footprint and doesn't store under the bench, but it will handle almost anything you can throw at it (hogging off wood, et...). A machine that is more capable, although not a wider platen than the lunch box type planers.

make / manufacturer: Belsaw
model name / number: 9103
Excellent condition Belsaw planer. 12 1/4" capacity. 2 sets of sharp blades. Comes on stand with mobile base. 3hp 220v Dayton motor. iGaging digital depth gauge. This is a big heavy duty unit, lots of cast iron. I got it at an estate sale with the intention of keeping it and using it but I dont have 220v in my shop and decided against running a new circuit for this machine. I ran it before I bought it and everything worked fine but again, I don't have 220 in my shop so it cant be plugged in here. I could possibly bring to you depending on where you're located.

I have had that model planer since the 70's. I have changed the feed rollers once and changed the feed gear so it would just about double the feed rate. IIRC it comes feeding 12' a minute and changes to feed 23' a minute when you change that gear. Still a happy camper after who knows how many feet of material has gone through it.

Good to hear Jerry. I know mine will outlast me.
And that is one difference between this and a lunchbox planer. How many expect the portable ones to be in service for 50ish years?

I doubt seriously that one could buy a USA-made motor of that size for $450.00. I expect the mag starter would be close to that same price these days.
Like many here, that was my first planer and I did lots of wood through it. I still miss the particular precision of that big handwheel turning 1/16" per turn. I could just about plane the finish off of plywood without going below the veneer, but that was with 1970s hardwood plywood.
