Okay, It seems that lots of folks here know the I manage the Raleigh Woodcraft. It would be great if when you come in to the store if you would say hi to me and let me know your NCWW screen name. I do try to keep my responses here on the fourm as a fellow woodworker, not as the manager of the store, but if there is something I can help you with feel free to call me at the store or PM me. I will be glad to help if I can. Look forward to meeting more of you.

My schedule is about the same every week. Mon - Thurs 9-7 and Sat 9-3.
Some Thursdays I'm here till 9pm and some Saturdays I might leave a little early if things are slow( get to spend more time with the wife and kid that way)

I'll stop by the next time I'm in Raleigh to say hello -- we met several years ago, but I doubt you'd remember me -- suffice it to say we both share envious profiles!! (I used to live in Durham and as I recall, I first met you when you worked for a competitor of Woodcraft). Check out my mugshot in the Faces of NCWoodworker.Net Gallery to see if that ugly face next to my wife rings any bells... Rob

Tom, you weren't there last time I went through there. I think the last time I remember seeing you was before I was a member here. Both Joe and John have done a great job helping me out whenever I stop in. I'll make it a point next time I am there to see if you are in. Is it OK to tell the guys to wake you up in case you're napping in the back room?

BTW, I like the model of your shop you have on display in the store.

Hey DL, has Joe shown you his knives. He makes some really nice knives, and can sharpen them to split a flea's wisker:lol:   . All the guys at the store have been very helpful everytime I've gone in.

Yes, he showed me a few that were in the case and about a half dozen he had behind the counter. Very nice work indeed. I think he said Soldiers Magazine (an Army publication) did an article on his knife making skills before he retired. I really liked the various handles he made for them.

Had to say that the folks at the Raleigh WC are really helpful, for the several
times I went to the store.
One young guy helped me with the very first wooden plane I bought at the
flea market, when I was asking for help.
I wish you'd carry the LN #66 beading tool, though, because that was the
item I was looking for the last time I went to the store.

Got to go to woodcraft tomorrow.
Hope to see you there.

Earl, I'm sorry I didn't have much time to chat this morning, I was on company time. But it was nice to meet you and put a face to the name. I'm sure we'll cross paths again, and have more time to talk. Dave:)

Dave and I spoke today at the store and I mentioned to him about giving me a hard time:slap: about member discounts. (not a real hard time) He told me that Steve Coles had talked about a get together in Raleigh sometime. If and when that takes place I might be able to offer a little something that weekend for NCWW members (a little extra incentive to come see us in Raleigh).

Sounds great Tom, though you'd think folks would feel special just getting to visit you in the store

Did you hear Raleigh Landscaping is offering a 40% discount to NCWWers :eusa_shhh

I understand dave, I was in a bit of a hurry myself, had to get to raleigh hardwood and get back home before Michiko (the wife) came looking for me.
I did get some wood and even got a chance to make some sawdust this afternoon.
But I did get a chance to faces with 2 names:-D
