QSWO Table - my recipe

After a lot of experimenting, I came up with a mixture of amber + med brown (1:1). This is General Finishes water based dye.

For those interested here is the result (sorry for orientation I can't get it to post right):

The grain pattern is very striking and really pops with your finishing technique. I like the wrap, is that walnut? Very well crafted and finished DrBob!

It looks like 5 different QS boards with different patterns glued up with a black walnut border. Correct?

Your dye combo is good at highlighting the ray fleck.

Looks great Dr. Bob. I'm ready to finish something similar in QSWO. Did you use a pore/grain filler? Did you apply dye before gluing on edging or after? If after, how did you avoid getting dye on the edge banding? Just curious.
