Well, one of two major acquisitions I made at the Charlotte WW Show finally showed up at Klingspore's in Raleigh today. So after making a run up to their store this afternoon here is what followed me home this time.

I managed to get all of the boxes opened and completed the major assembly this evening. I still have to install the in-out feed tables, check the belt tension, and tracking before I can take it for a test drive.:eusa_danc

Now if I can just get Klingspore's to get my other item in stock I will be able to complete my post Charlotte Show gloat.

You dawg! That is nice. But will it fit in the bedroom ? You can't leave it in a cold dark garage by it's self.

At last report, Insom grabbed those for one of his little friends.

I think that after all the stuff he ordered from the Charlotte show, that garage IS his bedroom now!!!

Congrats on the new acquisition... can't wait to see what's next!

Nice addition to the tool collection, DL.
You guys are really not helping my condition (tool envy)! Is there a local treatment center for this affliction? I think I'm going to need some serious help! :eusa_booh
Congrats!

Randy, for those members feeling isolated at times, here are a couple of online resources that can help ease some of the symptoms of this affliction.

Nice haul. Mine has a bigger footprint which is a pain. I like the base on yours a lot better than mine. I would love to see some pics when you get the outfeeds hooked up. When I got mine the store didn't have them and they would be nice to have a times so let me know what you think about them.

Oh, almost forgot YOU SUCK!!!

Wow, that really looks nice, D L! I didn't realize you had succumbed to the irresistable temptations of the Charlotte WW show. Now I'm trying to figure out what else you're waiting on...

I can't wait to hear how well it performs. Man, I'd like to get one of those some day.

And, YOU SUCK!!!

there is a 38 inch wide sander moving into my neighborhood tonight. I can almost throw a rock to its home..... but I'll let Michael post the pictures

Travis,
Here is a pic with the in-out feed tables installed. They bolt on directly to the CI bed of the sander and are a breeze to adjust to the correct height of the conveyor belt. To be honest, with a little thought put into it you could easily design a system that would accomplish the same thing and save some money in the long run. As you can see the footprint increases significantly once the tables were added.

I took it for a test drive today on a piece of cupped 1/4" red oak. I only used the 100 grit belt that came with it and had the cup removed from the stock and taken down to 1/16" in no time. Hooking this drum sander up to a DC is a must though........DAMHIKT, cough, cough.

Oh yeah Chuck.........I took the plunge alright. Managed to drop enough change that I am willing to bet the LOML was wishing my trip to Asia hadn't been canceled. I was sort of disappointed that none of the major vendors seemed to have trucks out in the parking lot loaded with their big end items like they have in years past. I guess I will have to wait for the second portion of my shipment to come in before I can gloat some more.
