Pictures upload

I've been trying to upload a picture of my lathe for the classifieds and after I browse and pick the picture and open the file, nothing happens. Shouldn't I see a picture or does that first appear at the end. Also what size pictue should I upload?

If you are at this step in the Classified Ad, you won't see that picture until you post the ad.

Upload Image: [Box for filename of pic selected]

Important Notice: This image must be uploaded from your computer, NOT the Photo Gallery. It will be used as the default photo for your listing and as a thumbnail in the classifieds to represent your ad. The maximum image file size is 5500kb and the maximum image dimensions are 3600px high by 3600px wide.
