Palm Router upgrade changed my palm router experience

I have to tell you all about something that changed the way I use my palm router that I did not even know was a solution. I have always been nervous when using my palm/trim router because of the small base and only being able to hold it with one hand. I discovered that our friends at StatedWoods have come out with a line of palm router bases that solve these issues. I just bought one for my Ryobi 1+ palm router and it was an absolute game changer.

I wanted to rout some inlays to provide structural support for a large frame I was building and using the 2-handle base provided the stability and comfort that have been lacking up until now.

Note that in the picture there is also an acrylic template that they (StatedWoodss) custom cut for me for this specific purpose.

I have one of their bases for my DeWalt mini. I use the stock base most of the time, but that big base is invaluable in some applications.
