Not to be confused with "Pentarsia"
Complete description(but no "tutorial") in my album.:-D
(I don't even know how I did parts of it.)
Other than the pen components it is ALL WOOD,no laser or CNC was used to make this pen.
Tools used were a Grizzly contractors saw, a used Dremel scroll saw, a Rikon lathe,Delta BOSS sander, exacto knife my imagination, my hands and a lot of Help from a Higher Power.
Thanks to my wife Lynn for the design.I came as close as I could.

Well, In my view that is just horrible. Horrible because you have inspired me to be interested in turning pens. Which, I must say, I never was before.
I lost interest in turning pens on my third one, that was about 2&1/2 years ago.It is kind of llike building a model when you were a kid when the model only had 2 pieces.
"It that all there is to it?"
It wasn't until I started experiementing with different materials and making my own blanks that I really got interested in making pens.
Other wise I would take up crocheting.

Eagle, that blank turned out a nice pen. Awesome work, I'm impressed and inspired as usual.

Maybe it's just me, but I've been turning pens for a little while now and know a few things about these... It looks to me like you have one too many threads on the screw for your cap, the grass in the front needs cut, looks like you only sanded to 12000 MM (I can see the sanding lines) and your grain is all going in different directions. All in all, it's a good start. You could probably wrap it back up in twine and start over again...maybe you'll get it the second time....hehe

Awesome...
