Paint the Birdhouse MawMaw?- First Project

That is how our grandson woke up mawmaw a while back at 6:30 on a Saturday morning. This is Wesley's very first project, it was a feeder kit but, he did the painting all by himself. All mawmaw did was open the watercolors. He could not wait for us to take a picture. It is the closest thing I have had to a project this year.

I sprayed on a couple of coats of spar urethane so it would stand up a little longer outside. They hung it in his great grandparents front yard and when a bird perched in a nearby tree he said "Here they come."

Turned out great and he will remember the fun he had for a long time.

Aren't grandkids fun? What a great way to start any day. You must have cleaned him up before taking the picture. My grandkids would have the paint smeared from head to toe. :rotflm:

Betcha it will be treasured and he will spend plenty of time watching the birds settle in for a feast.

Great photo and definitely one to hang onto for a few years.

(Can't hardy wait for my grand daughter to spend some shop time w/me.)
