We are holding a contest to generate ideas for Outreach projects.
The prize is $100.
The rules
1. We are looking for a modular set of boards cut to 1 or 2 standard sizes.
2. Everything must be made from these boards.
3. You must supply plans/drawings for at least 3 projects that can be made from the standard boards.
4. The ‘students’ can cut, drill, nail, screw together, or otherwise alter the boards.
5. No pocket screws, no dovetails, no precision mortise & tenons (one or two loose mortise and tenon joints may be acceptable) just simple joinery that kids can be quickly taught to do.
6. Any work by the students must be done with hand tools.
7. Supply a list of tools needed for the projects.
8. The Outreach volunteer group will select the top 5 entries then the NCWW members at large will vote for the winning entry
9. You have until midnight April 30, 2019 to submit your entry.
10. Voting will begin one week later.
We reserve the right to add or change rules if urgently required.
