Not so unexpected Gloat

Well the grizzly jointer (GZ1182ZHW) showed up this morning at the UPS Freight yard. Took the pickup out, brought it home to the shop, and went to work. Wouldn't you know that today would be the first day in months, that I had to put in extra hours. I left the office and 8 and came home and started assembling the jointer.

Did you know that putting the jointer on the base is a two man operation? I found that out after I had set the thing up on the base... Yes it is heavy. No, my back is just fine.. Till tomorrow morning....

Anyway. Looks like I will have to finish up with it tomorrow. Took forever to get the 3 screws to line up. But so far it has been really fun. Tomorrow it is fun with WD-40 and rags!

one time i broke a tooth off my ts blade, and i placed it under my pillow. the next morning i thought the tooth fairy had left me jointer. I was mistaken.
