I will be going to the lawyer's office today to sign the 1023 forms! Joe I am going to need a check for $850 for the filing fee some time soon. Wilson and Ratledge will write a check for the amount now, but we will have to reimburse them.

Update:

I edited part of the writeup the attorneys provided and sent iut back to them this morning. I went to their offices this afternoon and signed the paperwork and it will be filed today!

Joe: I can use the check at your convenance.

I will keep the BoD updated as I learn the progress of our application.

Kudos, Doug! Now maybe we can make purchases for the organization w/o paying sales tax (we are paying about $65 in NC Sales Tax on the prizes for this fall's raffle) and also have contributors get a valid tax exemption for a donation. Hoorah! It will make a difference, for sure.
