We, the wife, dog and I made the trek to Shannon, NC to visit Erin and pick this up today. Plus as a bonus, we got to meet DL Ames and see his great shop. Got the dc back to the shop and plugged it in and had to grab onto something, nearly got sucked in. :rotflm:

Ordered the missing "Y" connector and should have it next week. Gloat? well I think so, even though it is slightly used.

That's a big daddy, it should suit your new shop well. I give you a DOUBLE SUCK, one for the new DC and two for how well it sucks. I expected you to come home with the monster wide belt sander...is it still there?
Dave:)

Yea, it is still there along with the panel router setup and the hot air edge bander. Erin said the WBS is going on ebay either this week or next. Nice folks, even helped me load it.

Erin is really sweet, we are all lucky that she came to us first. Probably one of the best tool deals in my lifetime. Did you get a chance to meet Ali, he likes to invest in businesses with promise (like yours), he didn't quite get one with the last cabinet shop he invested in.

I managed to get a sneak peek of Mike's acquisition when he swung by the shop this morning. Man that is one clean machine. Heck the bags were still white as can be and they had very little dust in them. I am glade to hear you were able to locate a Y for it Mike.

BTW, the numbers on mine are 1405 cmf with a 13.5" impeller. I was staring right at that page when you were here and I blew right past the numbers you asked me about.

In order to get quicker idea as to the through hose suction, I purchased a metal 6" -4" transition piece from Lowes yesterday and hooked up some 4" hose. Powered it up and I can honestly say it appears to have almost twice the pull that my Delta has. I just stuck it , not fastened, to my T/S dust port and couldn't believe how much it pulled. I have a manual on the way so I can learn more about this particular unit. Probably won't have all the specifics but it won't hurt to have it. Tomorrow I am going to replace the power cord with a longer one so I can have a little more flexibility in its final positioning in the shop.

Nice haul, I was wondering what you were picking up. Good Luck to Erin with the sander on Ebay. That sander is going to take some serious work to move. A freight company isn't going to touch that unless it is on a skid and ready to be loaded on the truck. I'd love to have a commercial space with 3 phase so I could have a machine like that.
