I just clicked on the Report a thread button in the safety forum. I don't know where that shows up, so I thought I'd post here too. Jeff's thread could get ugly.

I agree Will -- it is not a Health and Safety Issue, it is an off topic issue and is becoming political. I am the Moderator of that thread and I will send Jeff an email explaining why it is being closed. This is a Woodworkers website, not a place to post your latest pet peeve!

I Closed it -- and then decided to Soft Delete it, but Steve Coles did it 30 seconds ahead of me. I've been gone for the last 3 hours taking my wife to have a CAT scan and so it got this far. I'll PM Steve.

You guys are quick... I was just about to jump on this one. It has nothing to do with wood. And I agree it has the 'dead-woodchuck-under-the-front-porch' smell to it.

Actually, I did two things. I deleted both of Nativespec's 2 posts and I deleted the thread, all soft deletes. I deleted Nativespec's messages, specifically so he would know his post were out of bounds even if we had left the thread.

As I said in my PM to you Steve, Jeff needs a harsh email admonishing him for this thread -- this is a Woodworker's website and "Pet Peeves" do not belong here under any ciscumstance. Nativespec should hear from you, too. Since my first post here was before action was taken and I said I would email Jeff, but I have not (I will if you want me to).

As I said in my PM, I would like to wait a day to cool down. I am very upset about was has been going on, in general. I need a bit of perspective. Besides I'm sure I'll be hearing from Jeff as sson as he sees the deltetion PM:rotflm:
